Windows 10: home networks & shared links

Please can anyone, give me answer how to correct the following. I have Windows 10 just updated to version 1809.

My wife & I both had computer that were linked through the home network. a short while ago her machine crashed, due to a faulty mother board & scrapped, therefor no longer able to link. that machine was opened with a pin. On my machine I keep getting a request to confirm the email & pin number of the scrapped machine so that the shared link can be re-established. Opening the message you are asked to enter the email & pin but both are then rejected. how do I remove the shared link from my computer.

Cannot access shared network drive

I could scream! so much time wasted on this stupid error, as if time is not precious enough!
It probably would work fine if I could see the other computer! But I cannot see the other computer!

Sharing folders over network - access denied

To troubleshoot your concern with sharing files over the network using your Windows 10 device, we suggest that you run the Shared folders troubleshooter and check if it helps. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Click View all.
• Click Shared Folders.
