Windows 10: Homegroup stopped working

I'm not sure if it's related to the last update or not, but suddenly my homegroup started saying my other PC was offline. So I went and left it and recreated it, and sometimes it'll connect for maybe 5 minutes then disappear again. Also, it's saying almost everytime I try to join that Windows No Longer Detects a Homegroup on this network. Very strange since it's showing it. I can get to the other computer via the Network icon so it's not a disaster, but this is a frustrating issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Scripted Diagnostics Native Host Has Stopped Working while running Homegroup Troubleshooter

This former Windows 7 Ultimate machine has issued the Homegroup for all my other machines, but it can not join it's own Homegroup. It says homegroup available but when I try to join it says no homegroup is available.

So I run the troubleshooter and I get Scripted Diagnostics Native Host Has Stopped Working with ERROR 0x800706BE

The Homegroup worked fine in Windows 7, but both the homegrup and homegroup troubleshooter do nto work in Windows 10. I also can not get any new machines to ion the existing Homegroup.

 

Windows 10 Homegroup problems

This may work, it seemed to for me. Go to advanced sharing settings, Private, HomeGroup connections. Change the default Allow Windows to manage HomeGroup connections (recommended) to Use user accounts and passwords to connect to other computers. Doing
this seemed to stop the HomeGroup and allow me to start over again, by starting a HomeGroup. You may have to log off and shut down all computers, and may need to do the same thing. Problem I faced was the same thing as you, and I could not leave the HomeGroup
or stop it.
