  1. Hosted Network not woreking, hosted netowrk support no, no hosted network driver

I am HP pavilion x360 running windows 10 1903 and network driver Realtek RTL8822BE ac pci with everything up to date.

When I try to enable hosted network it says group or resource is not in correct state.

Hosted Network mode is set to allow but hosted network support is no when running netsh wlan show drivers .

There is no hosted network driver in device manager even under hidden devices. There are several wifi direct drivers and I tried to replace it with hosted network driver through manually selecting from a list update option but it did'nt help.

    Here's the cmd summary

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

The hosted network mode has been set to allow.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh wlan start hostednetwork
The hosted network couldn't be started.
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh wlan show drivers

Hosted network not supported and hosted network driver is not visible after windows 10 upgrade

My laptop is dell and my phone is lenovo. It was all working fine before the windows upgrade. I have tried all the above mentioned steps. It says hosted network status not available and hosted network is not supported when i use "netsh wlan show drivers"...
in my network adapters "microsoft hosted network adapter" is missing even after enabling show hidden devices. My drivers are from "broadcom".

  3. hosted network support- no

    Hello,

This means your system is not capable of hosting network as the required hardware isn't present. Unfortunately, you can't change this.

You can talk to your device manufacturer support and see if they can provide a driver with hosting network support.

If they can't, you need a different machine with required hardware present to host the network.

    Hope this answers your query!

    hosted network

    Hello,

If your current adapter is not supporting hosted network, this also means the hardware required to host the network may not be present.

    Regards.
