  1. Hosted WiFi network with Bootcamp?

I use Win 10 with Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro.

I need to create a WiFi network and the laptop as router. How can this be done in Win 10?

Prompt netsh wlan show drivers reports that Hosted network is not supported, but the same network card supports it via macOS...

  2. Hosted Network WiFi

Hi - Thanks for the help. I’ll describe each step of what I did to royally mess up my computer. My goal was to share my wifi...but now my wifi is gone!

    1. Set up and activated hosted network via Command Prompt

    2. Set settings to allow connection to be shared

    3. Attempted to connect with another device but never saw the network

    4. Decided that I didn’t actually care that much do I went to my wifi networks and clicked “disable” on the hosted network

    5. Now my wifi is gone. I can’t turn it on with the physical key, it no longer appears in my network connections, the switch is greyed out in the airplane mode settings. Gone gone gone.

Can someone help me get it back??

    Hosted WiFi network with Bootcamp?

    hosting wifi networks

    Hi Justin

There are a lot of threads over on the NetGear forum with regard to this problem, everyone seems to be having the same problem with Windows 10

They even suggest that Hosted Network is not supported by the Windows 10 drivers for that device . ..
