    Hotkeys or desktop keyboard (not TypePad) shortcut for SLEEP

    Win 10. Using Sleep button on my HP desktop keyboard works fine.

    WIN 10 On my Surface (SP3), using Logitech K740 illuminated keyboard with Docking station.
    No obvious sleep button on the keyboard.

    If possible:

    How can I create a Sleep hot button, or what is best shortcut to create sleep, rather then waiting for automatic sleep to occur (20 minutes)?

    :)

    This link describes how to set up a shortcut -- I mention this so that you can get an idea of where to look for possible causes of such a shortcut:

    Shortcut --> HOTKEY for sleep

    Hey Jan,

    Windows has a feature to help you out with that by pressing the power button with your own setting! Hit Windows key + I together, and that will bring you into Windows Settings. Go into System on the top left. On the left side of the window, you should see the
    Power & sleep button. Click that, and under "Related settings", go into Additional power settings. You should see a classic Windows style window named "Power Options". On the left pane of the window, you should see "Choose what the power buttons do". If you
    prefer that the power button puts your computer to sleep, select "Sleep" in "When I press the power button:". Now every time you press the power button, it should go to sleep.

    Alternatively, you can hit Windows key + X together, then press U, then S as the menu cascades. Source:

    I hope this has been helpful.

    Hotkeys or desktop keyboard (not TypePad) shortcut for SLEEP

    One alternative is, I suppose, I guess I can use the power button on the SP3 and set it to put the SP3 to sleep.

    Would be nice to create a keyboard hotkey/ shortcut also.
