Windows 10: How can I activate windows after getting error code: 0xC004F211

Okay, so my old motherboard on my HP desktop recent bricked due to it's age of 10 years, so I had to purchase a new motherboard for my computer. After getting this new gigabyte motherboard, my windows said "Activate Windows" and gave me error code 0xC004F211, which indicates hardware change, so I ran the Activation troubleshoot, but it said it could not re-activate my windows. I read that if you did not connect a microsoft account with the device before you replaced any major hardware you would need to buy a new license from microsoft, however I have had my online microsoft account connected to this device for a long time, it was registered under "My Microsoft Devices" when I went on my account online. If I had this device connected to my microsoft account even before the motherboard change, then why can't the troubleshoot re-activate my device? I have already spent around $100 on windows 10 a while back, why should I need to spend another $110 to re-buy something I already have and paid for? Especially after I just spent $100 on a new motherbaord!


Also, I read somehwere that if you don't activate windows 10 for 30 days it like shuts down or something or like breaks your computer, but I cant afford to buy another copy of windows 10 in 30 days if that's my only option, I need at least 2 months.


Microsoft, please help me and dont make me spend another $110 on a product I already own and paid for just because of a hardware upgrade.

Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.

Windows Activation error 0xC004F211

I upgraded my PC by switching the Motherboard, CPU, and RAM. My previous build was connected to my Microsoft account. after attempting to activate windows on my new machine i keep getting error 0xC004F211. I attempted to contact Microsoft support but apparently
they won't be able to help until tomorrow. On my Microsoft account there are two different devices that are named the same one of them is my old build and the other is the new build, however i have the activate windows watermark in the bottom left hand corner.
how can I solve this?
