    How can I cancel a preview update?


    My computer notified me that 2020-11 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10, version 20H2 KB4586876 is pending install. How can I stop this preview from installing? I thought that previews were not mandatory, and would be included in the next scheduled update.

    "the above steps" DO NOT WORK !

    There is no "Cancel Reservation" option available !!

    Hi,

    Thank you for being a part of Windows 10 Technical Preview testing.

    How are you trying to cancel your reservation?

    You can cancel your reservation at any time prior to installing Windows 10. Here’s how:


    • Right click on the Get Windows 10 App or Windows icon located in right end of the taskbar.

    • Select “Check your upgrade status”

    • Select “Cancel reservation”
    Let us know the update after you try the above steps.

    "the above steps" DO NOT WORK !

    There is no "Cancel Reservation" option available !!

    I'm not sure if you saw this as it was a reply to my own comment, but here is what worked for me:

    "I found out how to do it! This article tells how. Right
    click on the icon as above and then click the hamburger (3 horizontal lines) in upper left corner and then click view reservation and cancel."
