Windows 10: How can I change the Public setting of Network

setting to Private in Windows 10 Pro Version 1803. I have tried Networking through settings, deleting and re-installing the router and through the netsh interface. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone help? All the internet answers relate to previous versions of Windows 10 which do not now apply. There is no option under Properties to change the connection details

Windows 10 How to change network setting back to Home from Public

Hi,





To change your network connection from public to private, follow these steps:

• 
  Go to
  Settings.
  
• 
  Choose
  Network & Internet.
  
• 
  On the left side of the screen, choose
  Ethernet.
  
• 
  Under
  related settings, click
  HomeGroup.
  
• 
  Go to
  Change advance sharing settings.
  
• 
  Under
  Network discovery, choose
  Turn on network discovery.

Change Network from Public to Private

I suggest you to follow the steps below to
change your network from Public to Private:

• 
  Type PowerShell in Search Window and then right click on it and click on
  Run as Administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following command to find your interface Index:
  Get-NetConnectionProfile
  
• 
  Use your interface index (for example 5) with this command:
  Set-NetConnectionProfile -InterfaceIndex 5 -NetworkCategory Private
  
• 
  Now reboot the device and check if the network has changed from Public to Private.
