How can I confirm if someone is remotely controlling my Admin rights?

I was recently subject to a virus attack that left my laptop basically useless until I was able to activate the local Administrator account, and re-install Windows 10 entirely.

After I ran sfc /scannow, the problems finally went away Google Chrome would mark all sites as not secure and prevent me from accessing them, my facebook account would post something crazy, and I was unable to create any additional users among other problems

The computer is apparently in good shape now but there are some high level activities that I cannot still perform such as making modifications to the users settings in the Account Users panel that opens with netplwiz, the scary part is that it tells me that my IT Adminstrator is preventing me from making those changes.

The problem is that... I don't have an IT Administrator. This is my personal laptop that does not connect to any domain whatsoever. I suspect that the hacker still has some level of control over my laptop and I feel unsure to do sensitive activities in this equipment until I am 100% confident that there is no scuh threat in my computer anymore.

How can I confirm whether or not there is something still lurking in the laptop at this point? I have AVG, and Malaware installed and their scans come clean now.

    :)

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.

    Remote Control

Remotes are a touchy thing. They all use different codes to control different things. Unless it has a specific code for a PC's remote adapter, you may be screwed. Maybe the device that you are trying to control has the code that you can input to a universal remote? Otherwise, you probably won't ever find the right IR code.
