    I need to find a way to restrict specific headsets from connection to specific user accounts in windows 10.I have 5 kids with their own bluetooth headsets. They each have their own school supplied chrome books they connect to as well as 2 family shared gaming computers. Not to mention a couple smart phones.The problem I'm having is that every single headset tries to connect the family PCs regardless of who is logged in on which device.Specific case example:1 daughter is logged onto 1 family PC the other is logged onto the 2nd family PC. Their personal headsets cant decide which pc to connect

  2. Windows 10 bluetooth cannot re-pair with specific device

    Hello Pieter.

    I'm Daniel, a Microsoft user like you. It is a pleasure to help you today.

    I understand that you are having trouble re-pairing with a specific device.

    I suggest you try updating your device driver. Here's how: You must go to Start, and you will type Device Manager, select this option from the list of results and, in Device Manager, you will locate your device, now click on it with the right mouse button (or press and hold ), select Update Driver Software, select Search automatically for updated driver software, and follow the rest of the steps.

    If Bluetooth is enabled and the driver is updated, but the device still does not work properly, please try removing the device and pairing it again. do this: Go to Start, and type Devices, select Bluetooth, select the device, select Remove device, and try pairing again.

    On the Desktop you will simultaneously press the Windows + R keys to open Run;

    1. In run, type Services.msc and click Ok;

    2. Please double-click the Bluetooth Support service.

    3. If the Bluetooth support service is stopped, click Start.

    4. In the Startup type list, click Automatic.

    5. Click the Login tab.

    6. Click Local system account.

    7. Please click OK.

    To uninstall the Bluetooth Device Driver, follow the steps below:

    1. You will simultaneously press the Windows key + X;

    2. Click on the Device Manager option;

    3. Click on the arrow that points to the Bluetooth device;

    4. Right-click on the installed device and click uninstall;

    5. Please restart your computer.

    I suggest you access your equipment manufacturer's website and, based on the model, download and install all drivers compatible with Windows 10 to avoid conflicts.

    I will also ask you to consult the following topic that talks about troubleshooting for Bluetooth, there you will have more problem options with step by step instructions that can also help you:

    Hope this helps.

    Reconnect to an already paired BT device (e.g. headphones)

    I have a Windows 10 laptop with Bluetooth and I have Sony BT headphones already paired to that laptop. I use the headphones with different BT source devices. They remember the last device they were connected to. Switching them to another BT source requires active action from the user. In case of Windows 10, I have to open Action Pane, click on the Connect shortcut (which opens a Connect pane), find my headphones in the list and ask Windows to connect to them.

    Now, my question is: it there any way to do the same thing without having to go through Action pane? I.e. is there any way to open the Connect pane directly (a keyboard shortcut preferably)? Or maybe there's an old-style (Windows 7-style) window that would allow me to reconnect to a paired device?

    Can't connect to a Bluetooth device while pairing

    Hi Leviozar,

    None of the cases listed on the article you suggested are similar to the one I am facing.

    My mouse can't be paired even Windows found it as an available device, showing the correct model.

    After I click on the device it keeps Connecting and does nothing.

    Already ran troubleshoot for bluetooth and everytime I run it a message is shown saying a problem was found for "check Bluetooth radio status" but it didn't help.

    Thanks and regards,

    Elvis
