Windows 10: How can I get my computer to hold the resolution on my new Samsung LC49G95TSSNXZA?

When my computer gets turned off or goes to sleep, the display resolution on my new Samsung LC49G95TSSNXZA gets all wonky. When I cycle the power on the screen or unplug the displayport cable from the dock, it works properly again. I just want this to turn on correctly after wake up. Is there a setting I am missing on this?

Screen Resolution too big

Firstly, try to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it fixes the issue.

I suggest you to change the screen resolution settings and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and type Change Screen Resolution and click on the option listed.
• Under resolution try changing the resolution settings.

Also try to install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website and check.

Resolution change problem

Booting your computer into safe mode may help resolve the issue. Safe mode will adjust your computer's resolution back to default, thus make your monitor or tv work again. Follow the steps below:

• Power On your PC.
  
• Press F8 during the first 10-15 seconds of your computer booting up.
  
• Advance Boot Options should load, select Safe Mode.
  
• Once in Safe Mode, try adjusting the resolution settings.
  
• Restart your computer.
