  1. How can I have a different mouse on each monitor?

I am using a 4k cheap Acer monitor for productivity only its only 60hz, not very bright and bad color accuracy, and good samsung 1440p monitor for my main usage. The annoyance I am having, is that when I switch my mouse over to my 4k monitor, it is too small but the mouse moves at a perfect speed. But if I move my mouse over to my 1440p monitor, it is not perfect sized but now running ~25% faster due to smaller screen size since the movement appears to be at a per pixel basis, less pixels to cover more distance.

Is there a way or safe software that will let me make the mouse bigger on monitor B and a bit slower on monitor A- instantly switching as the mouse switches monitor?? This would be really helpful- specially since moving mouse between monitors can often lead to me losing the mouse. It doesn't line up well at all, and sometimes the mouse hides at the edge where it couldn't move monitors.

    :)

  2. Dual monitor, Dual mouse??

    Hello,

Please share this information to assist you better.

    • How have you setup dual monitors?
    • Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?
If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.

Let us know the status of the issue. We will assist you further.

Mouse cursor different on different monitors

I work with 3 monitors and,for no reason, the mouse cursor on the 2nd monitor changed from the arrow to a circle. I've tried mouse settings and monitor settings and nothing helps. I've re-started twice.

    Different Backgrounds on each monitor

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand that you are unable to set different wallpapers on each monitors.

We would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps.

    Method 1: Identify Displays.

Try using the Identify option to identify the displays and then check if you can set different background. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + I, to open
      Settings
      .
    2. Click on System, and select
      Display
      on the left pane.
    3. Now, under Rearrange your displays, click on
      Identify to identify the displays.

    Refer screenshot below:

Once the displays are identified as Monitor 1 and Monitor 2, try setting the background.

    Method 2: Duplicating Displays

One other thing we can try is to set the displays to Duplicate first and then Extend them.

To Duplicate the Displays, press Windows key + P, and select
Duplicate. Follow the same steps and select Extend.

After Extending the displays, check if we get the option to set different backgrounds.

    Method 3: Reinstall Display Drivers.

If Method 1 and 2 didn’t help, we can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Display Drivers. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Display adapters.
    3. Now, right click on the Display
      device
      and select Uninstall Device.
    4. Once the device is uninstalled, click on Actions and select
      Scan for hardware changes.
    5. Restart the computer.

    Let us know the results.
