Windows 10: How can i remove kms completely

Around 2 years ago i stupidly tried to remove the windows activation message by running a .bat file and doing something in the registry and it only temporarely removed the message so after some time i purchased a digital oem key and i got it removed but i am very paranoid that i am still connected to the ksm servers and when i try to run windows defender full scan pc shuts down towards the end and scan results doesnt show up when i try to do a offline scan same story pc starts around 90 precent and no results.would a clean reinstall solve remove the ksm whats the best safest course of action

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

KMS is a key management service, if you have ever downloaded a third-party KMS activation software, I would give you the following suggestions:

Open the Start menu - Settings - Apps, enter the name of the software with "KMS" or similar in the search box in the list of apps, and click the software name in the search results to uninstall it.

Click the search box on the taskbar, type "Control Panel" and open it, find "Programs and Features" in this window look for the software with "KMS" and check click Uninstall.
