Windows 10: How can I resolve weak sector on C:\ according to Hard Disk Sentinel

According to Hard Disk Sentinel, there is a single weak sector on the C:\ of my Windows 10 PC, as shown below:

In contrast Windows CHKDSK reveals nothing wrong.

Hard Disk Sentinel will not run a corrective test whilst the C:\ is in use.

Can anyone advise a way around this at all? Or is there an alternative way of correcting this bad sector without dismounting the drive?

Hi,

Don't worry with the third disk (only one sector reallocated is nothing), but the first has 28146 hours which is a long while...

I suggest you to use another tool : Hard Disk Sentinel , which is much better than CrystalDiskInfo !

Before proceeding further, please answer few queries.

1. What is the make, and model of the Computer?

2. What is the complete error message/code you receive?

As per the description, I understand that there could be some bad sector in the hard disk.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the below steps to run the check disk, and check.

1. Press Windows + X, select Command prompt(Admin).

2. Type the following command, and hit Enter.

chkdsk /r/f

Disclaimer: While performing check disk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive, then chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
