How can I revert a file back to it's original format?

Good day! I'm *very* green when it comes to any real technical experience. Before a fairly recent Windows 10 update, however, I was able to easily change the format of .cpm files to .mod files, then change them back to .cpm files. All that I was having to do was change the names of the files from xxx.cpm to xxx.mod, then back to xxx.cpm and the formats of the files were being changed automatically. Much more recently, however, I'm unable to change the format back to the original state, however. When I attempt to the change the name now, it improperly updates to xxx.cpm.mod. It should upd

How To Format A Write Protected Flash Memory ?

    ¿You already tried this one?...

    Run CMD

    1. diskpart
    2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

    2. select disk #
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

    good luck!

  3. File Revert

I saved a kml file to open with notepad and I do not know how to revert it back to its original format. I actually do not know what the original format was. How do I fix this?

Issues with installation of new MSATA SSD

Thanks Navy, I did wonder if it had unselected the EFI partition. Edit: I used the command to list the partitions on the C: drive and select the system partition and then proceeded to format it as originally suggested. I just need the steps that followed when you happen to get that spare moment.
