Windows 10: How can I solve keyboard delay

Hello.I've been having an issue with keyboard input the past few days. When I click any text field like search bar it takes no keyboard input. It happens on any program, FireFox, Discord, File Explorer. It's not exactly delayed, its a period of several seconds where the software seems to ignore keyboard input and then it works fine. It also happens when watching any video and I try to rewind, pause or fast forward with the arrow keys, it doesn't take the input. I've notice that the mouse cursor randomly shows the loading circle next to it as if my laptop is loading something, but I'm running

I suggest you to follow the steps to open Device manager.

        Right Click on Windows Logo.

        Select Device Manager.
        
      • 
        Or, you may use the On Screen Keyboard.
        
      • 
        Right Click on Windows, Select Control Panel.
        
      • 
        Click on Ease of access center.
        
      • 
        Click on Screen Keyboard.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver. Follow the steps to uninstall & reinstall the keyboard driver from device manager.

• 
  Press Windows key + X from the
  Keyboard and click on Device Manager.
  
• 
  In Device Manager, double click on the
  Keyboard.
  
• 
  It will show you the device driver name, select that device and then right click on it.
  
• 
  Click on Uninstall button.
  
• 
  Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.
  
• 
  Repeat the same for Mice and other pointing devices.

Keyboard delay

Hello.

It would be great to test your device with another keyboard. This could show the issue is keyboard or system.

Try the steps below:

- disconnect and connect keyboard again

- run hardware troubleshooter

- update keyboard driver

- delete keyboard for the device manager list, update it, drivers should be found by system
