Windows 10: How can I take a screenshot of an image on the desktop without the background image also...

When pressing windows key & print screen keys I get a capture of the background on half the screen and a screen capture in the left upper corner of the desktop. How can I go back to before when the capture was of the entire desktop without the background?

• Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?
• Are you referring to desktop background image or lock screen image?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the background picture and check if it helps.

• In the search type as ‘Settings’ and click on it.
• Select ‘Personalization’, under ‘Background’ option select as ‘Picture’.
• Under ‘Choose your picture’ select any picture accordingly or you can browse the picture from your computer.

how to place an image on desktop?

i dont want to set the image as desktop background cuz that will be too big and the scaling makes it ugly. i just want to place the image at a conner with its original res?
