Windows 10: How Can I Troubleshoot SMB Settings - Slow Transfers On Network

Hey!I am having problems with my SMB transfers. I couldn't figure out why it went from 100 mb/s down to 10 mb/s one day. I ended up creating a new user admin and that seemed to fix the transfer speeds. However, after 2 weeks, I'm back down to 10 mb/s again. I didn't install anything new. I didn't make any changes, nothing change, at least by me. 2 days ago it was fine. Today I went to transfer a file and noticed it's at 10 mb/s once again.How can I troubleshoot this? I'm completely lost and have no idea why this has happened again. It obviously has something to do with an update or something

Network Transfer slows down

Vista has a built in TCP/IP autotune feature- That is what makes your network transfer slow down so much.
I don't know all the details, but have seen this b4- Do a google search for vista autotune- It will tell you how to change the settings and I think you can even turn it off.

 

Bridged Networks and SMB on a NAS

Network troubleshooting message "Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings"

Thanks for the help. After unchecking use proxy, I went in to settings and turned off automatic search for proxy.

No longer get that message.
