Windows 10: How do enter safe mode without enter in windows ?

It used to be possible to just use your 1st line and to reverse back change the word legacy to standard....this no longer works on its own.
Adding the 2nd line works...thanks for the tip.

 

I don't highly recommend it but as soon as you see the Windows icon with spinning circle, hold down the power key until the computer turns off. Do that three times in a row and the fourth boot let it go and it should be into safe mode.

 

Your profile indicates you are using Windows 7.
Is you question related to Windows 10 or is it related to Windows 7.

OR, are you asking on behalf of your friend who has a Windows 10 computer ?

 

Also use the Windows 10 David, but not as my main S.O , use the system in a virtual machine and also have friends who use Windows 10 as the primary operating system and have any questions .

Oh yes, that's correct. My mistake. Then we have the mystery as to why safe mode is not an option available in the OP's Recovery Mode

Do you have any storage devices such as removable hard drive or USB memory sticks inserted in the USB ports of the computer? You should only have mouse and keyboard connected to USB. Do you have a disk in the CDROM/DVDROM drive? Remove any and all disks and memory sticks from USB ports and CDROM/DVDROM drives. The command prompt in post #3 is from a Windows recovery drive or Windows install media. You aren't booting into the actual computer, you are booting into Windows install/recovery, which is why you don't have a safe mode option.

 

staff tried to carry out the process but I could not , my prompt does not come out of the x : / sources I can not just let the x : /

 

1. type MSCONFIG in the run command
2. Under boot check safe boot
3. Restart and it will boot into safe mode

But safe mode is still booting just with alot of things turned off that are on at a regular boot. You probably going to have to do a repair.
