Windows 10: How do files get into OneDriveTemp?

I have a folder on C:\ which contains almost all of my personal work. Today I noticed that the whole folder had been moved from c:\ to c:\OneDriveTemp. This happened at least before last night, because an altered file was not saved in the backup set that saves everything in c:\LAS that was changed. I was probably able to edit that file without noticing its location because the entry in Frequent Folders area was pointing at OneDriveTemp.How might this have happened? I was experimenting with OneDrive, although there is nothing in OneDrivePersonal. I did put something in Google's My Drive yes

Windows 10 Malware and Onedrivetemp

What is interesting is that I'm getting this on both of my personal devices, but not my work pc where my onedrive also syncs to, but runs different security software.

I will check to see if I can see anything in my onedrive that looks suspicious, but this seems to be a temp file?

 

OneDriveTemp Hidden file on C:\...vhdx

Hi,

I noticed there is a hidden file named; OneDriveTemp Hidden file on C:\

It's also shown that is a .vhdx

The strange is when I tried to mount this .vhdx to check what is inside it, I got message says; this locked by bitlocker, to open it you must enter the USB, etc,

I am sure that I didn't ask or agree to make this virtual HDD. So I am wondering what does it mean?

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
