  1. How do I automatically open a program but close it to system tray on start up using task...

Hi, I'm trying to do this on Logitech G Hub, it does have a built in "open on start up" setting and automatically closing to system tray but using that doesn't detect the device I think it's a known bug for the program. And I found a reddit post saying that if I open it with task scheduler that it would work, and I did and it does work but every time I log on, I have to manually close the program to system tray and after a while it's a hassle. So I'm trying to find a way to close it too? Because clicking the "x" close button on the top right of the program automatically closes the program to

Show Programs in System Tray in Task Switcher

I am using Task Switcher with the Alt-Tab shortcut to switch between running programs. I have the program AIMP running and it is minimized to the system tray. I would like to be able to use the Alt-Tab shortcut to quickly re-open AIMP, but it appears that Task Switcher does not include programs that are closed to the system tray. Please advise, thanks.

Starting a program directly to the system tray (No window)

    Hi all,

I run a VPN on my desktop which autostarts when I boot up, using the VPN's included software. This opens a window showing me that I am connecting and general details. Usually, I immediately close the window, which has the effect of the program minimizing to the system tray, where I can see its icon and know I'm connected. Recently I decided I was tired of closing this and a few other windows from programs I have set to run on startup, and made a task that runs them minimized on startup. The others minimize directly to the system tray, so there is no icon in the taskbar. My VPN software however, shows the minimized window icon, because the window isn't actually closed. I was wondering if there is a way to either start the program without actually opening the window, or close the window right away after opening, but without actually killing the program. I am using cmd to open the program right now, so if there is something I could add or another command I could execute that would be great.

    Thanks

Task Scheduler - launch program hidden in system tray

If the program doesn't have such a setting. automating that is difficult.

There are programs that add buttons to title bars or allow you to rt click the title bar and choose such an option, but that's not relevant to your need to launch it automatically.

This was discussed here, using an Autohotkey script:
Need script to always start program in system tray - AutoHotkey Community
but I would regard that only as a pointer, not a reliable solution.

There were older programs that did this:
(I can't post the link - it does something very odd when I do)
    It's on lifehacker.com

Windows only: Freeware application Trayconizer turns any application into a system tray application in just a few steps. Unlike other previously mentioned minimize-to-system-tray apps like TrayIt or 4t Tray Minimizer, Trayconizer starts applications in the system tray from the moment you run them. To use it, you need to tweak the shortcut you're using to launch the application (right-click shortcut and select Properties) by adding the path to Trayconizer in front of the app like so: C:\Path\To\Trayconizer.exe C:\Windows\Notepad.exe. Trayconizer is freeware, Windows only, requires no install, and consumes a paltry 2MB of RAM.
