Windows 10: How do I bypass Sign in option disabled due to failed attempts. Keep power on for 2hours

How can I keep using my fingerprint sensor without being locked out of my pc for failed sign in attempts even when I know the correct pin it still won’t work and sometimes I get locked without trying pin. It’s now becoming scary imputing my pin cos I have to be extra careful so it doesn’t disable my sign in and waste 2hours of ample design time before I can sign in again. Please how do I disable this feature on windows 11. I’ve been experiencing this after the recent updates

Hello Sir/Madam.

I just used it 5 hours ago at school and then I came home and opened it up it showed like this : "This sign-in option is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different sign-in option, or keep your device powered on for at least 2 hours and then try again". What is the reason for this one ?
And may I ask how can I adjust the time from 2 hours to less.

 

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.

Surface won't accept Pin - "This sign in option is disabled because of failed sign in attempts or repeated shutdowns."

I have the same problem, in that my Microsoft Surface will not accept my PIN login since the last update (? about 2 weeks ago). I get the error message " this sign in option is disabled because of failed sign in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different
sign in option or keep your device powered on for at least two hours and then try again". I have done this without success.

I have now tried the solution above you gave, but this has not worked either. Please advise.
