I accidentally set my account as a child not a parent. I can not even open a browser. I've had this email for 18 years. My brother had tried to help me set up the XBOX for my 8 year old son. The DOB was put in incorrectly. How can i fix this.

Change adult birth date to a childs birthdate.

If you set up an account with an adult birth date, then try to change it to a child's birth date, it will tell you you can't. I Changed my childs birth date to adult to access some things and now I
want to change it back to child. I'm beyond frustrated. Please help me!

 

Change date of birth when it was accidentally set as a child

I was setting up an Xbox for my son. I set it up using my Microsoft account, then attempted to add his child account. What I didn’t realise was that when the Xbox was asking for a date of birth, which I thought was for him, it was actually changing the date of birth on my own Microsoft account.

So now my Microsoft account thinks I am a child, and I am unable to change this in in my profile. And I am the family organiser for my family group, so I can no longer give parental consent.

How do I get out of this mess without deleting my account (losing my purchases) and starting again?! Please help!
