Windows 10: How do I completely remove One Drive from my system?

It would be great it Microsoft would stop forcing files onto One Drive then holding them hostage there. It would also be great if my posts on how to completely remove this invasive program were not removed. I feel like this is an invasion of my privacy and makes it impossible for me to safely use the huge hard drive I paid for. Why isn't One Drive optional like every other service is? Why doesn't it ask you if you want to store files instead of just taking them? How hard would it be to make One Drive ask you what files you want there? Does Microsoft think it has the right to just take everyone

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
