Windows 10: how do i connect my headset to windows??

i have been trying and trying so hard to just connect my microphone to windows but it just isnt connecting. the actual headphone part is fine, but any microphone that i have are on headphones and i cant get them to work at all. i know this isnt a problem with the actual headphones because i can use them perfectly fine on my phone but it just wont work on windows at all. and the default microphone on the aspire 3 isnt very good

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

Headset microphone not working in windows 10
