How do I delete an obsolete scanner that keeps poping up as the default scanner in Windows Scan program? I already installed the scanner under Windows Setting....

Windows Fax and Scan - changing scanner

I need to change the printer/scanner used with Windows Fax and Scan but there doesn't appear to be any option to do so. When I select scanner I get a list of 2 obsolete scanners which I need to delete but there isn't an option to remove them, nor is there
an option to add/select my wireless scanner. Can anyone help?

I hesitate to suggest this, because it's far from free ($40/$80 for standard/pro), but Vuescan has your scanner on its supported list:

Your scanner should be installed first in order for your computer to recognize it. Since you're using a printer/scanner in one, you need to add or install the device as a printer and as a scanner. Make sure that the printer is properly connected to your
computer and is turned on when you try to install it. Follow these steps:

• Click Start > Settings > Devices.
• Under Add printers & scanners, click the + sign and select
  Add device.

Once added, try checking if you're able to scan. If your computer still doesn't detect the scanner, then we suggest that you get in touch with HP Support for further assistance.
