    How do I enable Intel Optane Memory on my laptop?


    Previously, I completely erased all partitions on my laptop, made some major changes to my BIOS (that I don't remember; I do remember something about RAID though, if that is significant), and I installed Linux Mint. Recently, I decided that I would like to switch back to Windows 10. Like I said, I don't remember what changes I made to my BIOS, and I don't know what I have to do to get Intel Optane Memory working. I followed the steps on the following page until I got to "Enabling Acceleration", where I am at a point where the application says that I have an unsupported BIOS, and that "There are no valid disk pairs in your (my) system". I know that it is possible do get it working, since it was working before I decided to mess with it. What a mistake. I am now stuck, and don't know what to do from here. I really just want my computer to be just the way it was when I first bought it. How can I get this Intel Optane Memory working on this laptop?

    is installed in your system and the module’s status, you need to have either of the apps listed below installed on your system:



    • Intel® Optane™ Memory User Interface
    • Intel® Rapid Storage Technology User Interface


    Click on the Start menu and search for any of the apps listed above. Once you find the app, refer the article
    How to Determine What Intel® Optane™ Memory Technology is in Your System
    to know where to look for the module’s status.

    I get as far as Mount the Windows* Recovery Image:

    dism/mountimage/imagefile:c:\Win10USB\windows\windows\system32\recovery\w inre.wim /Index:1 /mountdir:winre

    and get

    mountimage/imagefile is unknown.

    Any ideas to get this working.
