Windows 10: how do I figure out and fix why my PC keeps randomly going black screen

My PC recently starting having black screen issues/Crashing. It only happens when I’m playing my game MW3 I’ve been playing for months and never had any issues. Now I can barely play 10 minutes before my screen turns black and I can still hear background pc noise, only way to get the screen to render back normally is by holding the power button down 10-15 seconds then the PC reboots up as if nothing happened at all and brings me to my password login screen. My graphics card is a gtx 970 overclocked

my pc screen flashes black

my screen will randomly flash black when my screen buffers. For example if I'm playing a turn based game every time i go to the next turn the screen flashes and shows black bars. I've been looking and my drivers are up to date any suggestions on how to
fix? Thanks!
