Windows 10: How do I find a customer support person to talk to or to chat with?

My laptop died so I'm trying to download office on my new laptop. System says the product key was already used. Yes, that was on my last laptop. Want to find someone to walk me through so I can find out what I'm doing wrong - why it won't allow me to transfer to my new laptop.

Live chat support - Talk to a person feature not working

I've been trying to get support from the live chat of both Skype and Microsoft (including the Get Help app of Windows). None of the topics suggested addresses my question, so the chat app finally gives the "Talk to
a person" option. When I click it, nothing happens. It's supposed to give options like 'call me back' or 'chat with a person' etc, but none of those options appears. There's just a box that says "Talk to a person" but the options are not visible. Is this just
a glitch, or is the live chat with a person feature not yet functional?

 

Chat and Google Talk support for C7-00?

I am genuinely perplexed by not finding any kind of a Nokia provided chat application in my C7. Does the C7 have chat support or not? Some of the sales material suggested that Google Talk would have been supported but neither Ovi or the SW update seem to
indicate that Nokia Messaging is supported on the C7.



The C6, N900 and E-models seem to have it, right? How can this be? Why is it so hard to make the application for all of the new phones?

I feel that a 3rd party IM tool is not acceptable in this day and age. I did try a couple of these "free" applications and they seemed to have ads or separate login accounts for them. I feel extremely uncomfortable letting an unknown application from a dinky
little company handle my accounts when even Nokia warns me that they assume no responsibility what-so-ever about the workings of these softwares.



I feel that Nokia is intentionally blurring the lines between email, IM, social media and SMS and in this case it seriously mislead their customer on what their device can do. The older C6 does have built in chat and the product specification page doesn't
have any direct mention of this. The page only talks about Nokia Messaging and since the C7 spec page also talks something about Messaging, I assumed it was a universal feature in the new product lines. How is it possible that atleast some of the ^3 phones
are still shipping without out-of-the-box IM support?



The whole approach to IM at Nokia seems completely fragmented. What is Ovi Chat? Is it some kind of a beta program? And what is this talk on blog.ovi.com about XMPP support being dropped? This is disturbing. Making your platform locked into proprietary Yahoo
stuff is not exactly customer friendly.



Why isn't it made clear what exact applications the phone comes with and what applications are going to be eventually released for it? It's not helpful that many tech sites parrot old press releases which are not 100% accurate with the final product. There's
plenty of talk online about "chatting" and "messaging" in connection with the C7. I am extremely upset. I wouldn't have got this phone had I known all facts about the state of its software.
