Windows 10: How do I fix an Error 0x80072f8f that comes with internet issues?

There are the current issues.-For some reason some websites wont load.-When I turned on my computer I did need to login. -When I checked windows Update it tells me that windows version 21H1 could not download because error 0x0072f8f. -When I run an internet troubleshoot network Adapter it tells me that everything else is working it could connect to www.Microsoft.com but it was not responding.-This same problem is happening to other people as well. How do I fix this?Thank you for your time.

Set Internet Explorer as default browser

I suggest you to set Internet Explorer as default web browser and restart the computer and see if it helps.

Disable Proxy

Sometimes using proxy to connect to the internet may cause issues while connecting to the network.

Follow the steps below to disable proxy:

• Press “Windows Key” + “R”.
• Type “inetcpl.cpl”.
• Go to Connection.
• Click on LAN Settings.
• Check the box which says Automatically detect settings.
• Uncheck the box under Proxy server.

Run Internet Connection Troubleshooter

Though you are able to use internet, there could be some problems or some settings which could have stopped Windows services to connect to the internet.

I suggest you to run the Internet connection troubleshooter to fix such issues, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R
• Type Control
• Click on Troubleshooting
• Click on Connect to the internet
• Click on Next and follow the On-screen instructions

• Are you able to install other apps?

The error is usually related to Time and date on the system.

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

1. Click on Date and Time on the right lower corner of the screen.

2. Click on Adjust Date and Time settings. Click on Add clocks for different time zones. Click on Date and Time tab. Check if the date and
time is set correct and then click on Internet time tab.

3. Click on Change settings. Select the check box next to Synchronize with an Internet time server. Select time.windows.com. Click on Update now. Click
OK. Then again OK.
