Windows 10: How do I fix realtek audio disappearing for my acer nitro 5 laptop?

Hello. My laptop model is acer nitro 5 an515-55. My Realtek audio manager keeps on disappearing in my acer nitro 5 laptop. It is disappearing at same time the audio of my external monitor is like stealing it. I am using hdmi cable by the way.I checked playback devices and I can't see Realtek.I also turned off the hdmi audio but it did not fix anything.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello all. I recently noticed that my Acer Nitro 5 was no longer detecting any headset devices and I am unable to get any input via the mic (and have also borrowed other headsets from the original one I had, all of which have the single 3.5mm jack which
works with the Acer Nitro 5's single audio input). I am also only getting this when I pull up the Realtek Audio Console:



What steps should I take to resolve this issue?

Hi TN. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

Go into BIOS/UEFI Setup to see if you can set the onboard chip to default. You can power on while pressing the Acer F1 or ESC key. Older models may use F2. This may be listed on the BIOS splash screen.

If you don't get a display for the BIOS even, then I'd reinstall the Nvidia card and properly disable it in BIOS setup before removing it this time.

No Headphone Output on Acer Nitro 5

Hi, I recently purchased the Acer Nitro 5 as I was due to for an upgrade. It doesn't seem to be much of an upgrade as the headphone jack doesn't seem to be functioning. I plug in headphones that work perfectly fine in my old laptop and get nothing out,
they are not detected. I've tried opening the Realtek Audio Console but this is all that comes up. I've searched around and every thread related to this problem directs me to the audio console. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
