    How do I fix the stretched title bars on maximized desktop apps

    In Windows 10, there is a really annoying UI issue that hasn't been fixed since insider build before RTM. Basically, if you maximize a universal app, the size of the title bar and buttons stay the same. However, if you maximize a desktop app, the title bar becomes shorter, and the buttons become stretched. This is driving me nuts. How can this be fixed? Would a registry edit do it? Can somebody please create a custom windows theme where everything is the same as default, with the exception that the title bars are fixed? I have already commented on Windows Feedback and Insider Hub multiple times regarding this with no success. I am utterly surprised of how long this bug has been present. Windows 10 is an inconsistent pile of ****.

    As always, As-salamu alaykum, and greetings from KL.

    :)

    maximize

    Rather than maximizing it just stretch the standard un-maximized window to as big as you can basically.

    Grab top bar with your mouse, move the top left of the window to the top left of your desktop, drag the bottom right of the window corner to the bottom right of your desktop. Close it with the red X on the top right. The secret seems to be the last
    part of the resizing/stretch, needs to be done with bottom right corner.

    Might have to do it twice.

  3. How do I fix black bars on the side of my screen windows 10?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.

    I appreciate if you could answer a few questions:

    1. What is the make and model o f your computer?

    2. Which card did you update?

    If your screen is cut off and blurry. I suggest you to update the graphic driver and check if it helps;

    1. Press Windows Key+X.

    2. Select device manager and right click on graphic driver.

    3. Click on update.

    Huh? I don't see the results you are complaining about. It looks exactly the same to me regardless restored or maximized.

    @PleaseFix:
    I'd be interested to see some screenshots of your issue and what Windows theme you're using.

    The icons are exactly the same size in those pictures. They are not "stretched".

    What you are seeing is something of an optical illusion. The title bar is slightly less "tall" by a few pixels when maximized, but the icons themselves are the same size.

    Part of the issue is that what when a window is maximized, the "sizing handles" are positioned off screen, and in windows 10 the sizing handles are the same color as the title bar. This makes the titlebar seem slightly narrower (In windows 7 the titlebars were a different color, so it wasn't such an optical illusion.

    The titlebar area is definitely 1 or 2 pixels shorter though. Also, it seems as if the left hand icon and text is further to the left when maximized, but again that's because the sizing handles are off screen, making the window appear more narrow.
