Windows 10: How do I get a screenshot of start menu?

Another simple way

PRTSCREEN then CTRL-C to copy to clipboard.

now paste into WORD or WORDPAD if you don't have ms office.

Enlarge with the zoom tool

now simply use snipping tool to capture the image and then save as png.

Then you can upload that file just like a normal snipping tool capture.

Wordpad is included with the system --Windows accessories.

Wouldn't it be quicker quicker to just paste the print screen into Paint and then crop it?

 

I've been using PicPick after reading a posting in Eight Forums from Dino(topgundcp) and it's great.

 

The default print screen function and Snipping tool works just fine. But for a more advanced way to screenshot the start menu, you can make use of applications like Jing, Snagit, or Free Online Screenshot. These applications can help you take screenshot of everything you see on screen. Plus they have other functions like annotating tool and a sharing function.

 

Snipping tool has a delay menu choice, this delays the snip, after choosing the delay (times are in seconds) click "new" This gives time to open a start menu, then you can copy the desired shot like you normally would with the tool. attached a shot of my start menu using this process.

 

Just idle curiosity, but how do you still have build 10074?

Aaaah people you can just simply press Print screen, one doesn't need all this fancy stuf for open menu's right click menus and cascading menus.
