Windows 10: How do I get new(ish) emojis to display in Edge and Chrome?

Emojis like do not display in edge or chrome EXCEPT for inside context menus and address bars. In Firefox, it does show up. And it appears to be the microsoft version, even though that emoji won't show up in the emoji keyboard.

Also, I installed the newest segoe UI emoji font to try to get all the new emojis, but there's still a ton missing, and they only display the new versions in context menus and browser address bars, not in the web pages. Normally you can't delete Segoe UI because it's a system font, but I selected multiple fonts to delete including it, and it has been deleted. Emojis still show up, though. Now I have the old emoji versions displaying but still have the new keyboard. Kinda chaotic.

Edit: After restarting I have the old keyboard and no longer show up in even context menus or address bars.

TL;DR what do I need to do to have show up in Edge or Chrome?

How to fix emoji keyboard not showing up using shortcut

This issue is often caused by a corrupted or missing data file. To better isolate if this is a user profile specific or an emerging issue, we suggest that you create a new user profile and try to use the same keyboard shortcut to get the emoji keyboard to

• Right-click on the Taskbar.
• Select the Show touch keyboard button option and a keyboard icon will show up on your
