Windows 10: How do i get printer to accept a ink cartridge that I refilled

Hello people,I have an issue with my printer. i refill my ink cartridges myself. how do i get my computer to accept it and stop the message that my ink is low* Moved from Community Center

HP Printer won't accept remanufactured / refilled cartridge

This is pretty typical for HP. They have chips built into their cartridges that the printers watch for and often they refuse to accept the cartridges if they're not genuine HP crtridges and even of they are, if they've been refilled, the printer also rejects
them. This is morally reprehensible, in my opinion, but it's a reality.

 

Aftermarket ink for inkjet cartridges

Apologies for posting the thread in this subsection but I couldn't figure out where I should post. Admins, feel free to move the thread to appropriate section.

I am wondering if anybody refills their inkjet cartridges using aftermarket ink? I usually use laser printer for B&W stuff but for color I have inkjet printer. I don't want to spend for the cartridges, hence considering a refill.

I don't want to go to Costco to refill the cartridges, hence checking aftermarket ink. Anybody has suggestion or something that they are happy with?

Original vs 3rd party printer ink refill ?

I use ink from Stratitek for around 15 years. I bought a $20 kit with ink and the requisite tools. I followed with an ink-only set costing $13, which included set of black and color ink bottles. I've used that ink with Lexmark and Canon printers. Refilling is easy and that $13 has handled dozens of refills. The only problems are: 1. Be sure to refill BEFORE the cartridge runs dry. If it's dry you're out of luck. 2. Cartridges eventually stop working. Despite that I've saved a huge sum of money on cartridges. Note: I only refill the black cartridges. Color is a pain ... too many refills. And anyway I seldom need color. If I need to print a color photo I take it to CVS. Fast. Cheap. Reliable. And better than what my printers can produce.
