Windows 10: How do I get rid of Megasync?????

Need to remove everything related to MEGAsync -

Recently my MEGAsync application logged me out and my attempts to log in and use it results in



the attached message. I've tried adding the application as an exception in windows defender but the error persists. Any advice?

MegaSync icon not showing in Windows Explorer Panel after fresh start

Hi Everyone

I am having some issues related to Windows Explorer Panel. It does not show the MegaSync Cloud icon.

A couple of days ago, I reinstalled Windows 10 on my laptop as it was running slow and not very smooth. It is not the first time I have done it.

Now I am just finishing reinstalling all the apps, but the MegaSync icon is not showing in the Windows Explorer Panel. Instead, it was before the reset.

I have tried to delete and MegaSync app already. The other providers show fine Dropbox, OneDrive, CC, Boxcryptor.

MegaSync itself has an option to hide the icon from the panel, and it is unchecked.

I searched the Internet, and I found a guide that suggested adding a key to the register like this for Boxcryptor.

When I search for Megasync in the CLSID folder, I can't find a location where to edit or create the value.

As always, there seems to be lots of alleged fixes out there, which may work on versions earlier than Win 10... but not with Win 10. The struggle for getting rid of this now un-needed bloat seems to be wrapped up in file permissions. But even when I try to clobber it with administrative authority, it won't budge. One fix suggests that you can use disk cleanup to get rid of it by selecting previous installation files. Heh. Yeah. Just TRY and find that option in Win 10.

Ok. Somebody hopefully has managed to resolve this inigma. Step by step, please.
