Windows 10: How do I get sound themes back? Windows 10

Back in Windows 7 there were a couple of sound themes such as garden, zen etc. These changed the sound effects when you had, for example, an alert or message notification. The only method I know now to get more themes is to search for themes with sound on the web version but I suspect Microsoft are trying to push users towards the app store version which lacks them from what I can tell.

To resolve your issue, follow the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open Settings.
• Select Personalization.
• Under PERSONALIZATION, click Themes.
• Click Theme settings.
• Click Sounds.
• Under Sound Scheme, select on the drop down the sound you would like to use.
• Click Apply, then OK.

Turn off all system sounds, for this follow these steps:

- Click the Windows 10 Start button and select the Settings option.

- Select Personalization from the Windows Settings list.

- From the column on the left side of the window, select Themes

- In the list of theme options locate and select the Sounds item

- Click the ‘down arrow’ to display all of the options in the Sound Scheme: menu

- Finally, select No Sounds from the pull-down menu.

- Back in your Windows Theme settings, make sure the Sounds item now displays No Sounds below it.

Win-10 themes keep changing

Thank you for providing the information.

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.
