How to select Japanese On screen keyboard with katakana/hirigana characters on Windows 10?

Krishna, My search came up with your reply, which is the closest to my question. How can I get katakana/hirigana characters using Win 10 when it was available using Win 7? You confirmed that katakana/hirigana is not available using Win 10, but is there
a solution, or install an app, to be able to have katakana/hirigana using Win 10?

    Thank you.

  4. How do i get the Japanese On-screen keyboard with katakana/hirigana characters?

How to select Japanese On screen keyboard with katakana/hirigana characters on Windows 10?

    Hi,

I would like to inform you that you will be able to change the keyboard layout to Japanese but
katakana/hirigana characters are not available. However, you will find kana and Romaji inputs.

I suggest you to follow the below steps on how to change the keyboard layout.

    Add a keyboard language:

    • Click the Start menu and select
      Settings.
    • Select Time & language.
    • Click Region & language in the left column.
    • Select Add a language.
    • Choose the language you want to add and select a country for the language.
    • Set a default keyboard layout:
    • Click the Start menu and select
      Settings.
    • Select Time & language.
    • Click Region & language in the left column.
    • Under Languages click the language you want as default and click
Set as default or you may click options and under options you may change the keyboard layout.
    • Press and hold the Windows key while you press the
      Space bar
to change the language or to switch between languages.

Hope the information helps to resolve the issues with the Japanese fonts. Please do let us know if you need further

assistance. We will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
