Windows 10: How do I get Win 10 to load Win Live Mail upon startup and waking?

I was able to create a shortcut, yay. But it's not possible to paste a shortcut into that folder. Message reads: "Windows can't create a shortcut here."

I'll see if I can achieve it via essenbe's method or the additional instructions you gave.

Dutch, I'm sorry, but I was trying to make a video of it. For some reason it won't upload. So,....

Go to start>all Programs>Windows Live Mali, right click it and select more> open file location. It will open to the WLM file. Right click that file and select send to Desktop (as shortcut).

Go to C:/Program Data/Microsoft/Windows/Start menu/Programs/Startup . Copy the shortcut on your Desktop and Paste it in the Startup window. it will tell you you have to provide permission, but just click continue. As soon as it finishes, you're done. It should startup next time you restart.

 

I got it to upload finally, but it isn't right and was just a quick video to show you how. It works on my system.

Finally got the shortcut pasted into the Startup folder

When I tried yesterday and earlier today, I was selecting "Paste shortcut" (logical, right?) but kept getting the error message "Windows can't create a shortcut here." ("Create" and "paste" are two different things. Oh well . . .) So then selected "Paste" instead and as you said, I had to click on "Continue," and then it was added!
