Discus and support how do i give permission to get a game they asked for on the store in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; my son used the Microsoft store to get a game using a gift card. when he used the gift card it said to ask permission from parent but I cant find where...     how do i give permission to get a game they asked for on the store


    my son used the Microsoft store to get a game using a gift card. when he used the gift card it said to ask permission from parent but I cant find where to grant it.

    I suggest that you reset the Windows store, follow the steps below.

    Reset the Windows Store

    You can use the steps below to refresh the Store which will clear the cache and refresh your library and permissions.

    • Close the Windows Store app if you have it open.
    • Click Start and type wsreset.
    • Right-Click on the command and click Run as Administrator. If the Windows permission box appears, click Yes or Run.
    • A black MS DOS screen will appear for a few seconds. Wait for it to disappear and the Store will automatically open.
    • Attempt to install Sea of Thieves

    The issue regarding the permission when you're trying to use the different browser is because of the settings on
    Family and Safety. To resolve your concern, we suggest that you check if the account that you are using is already removed to the
    Family list. To remove your account to the Family, you may follow the steps below:

    • Use the Adult account to log in using this link.
    • Click on the Family tab.
    • On the account that you want to remove, click More > Remove from family.
    • Then click Remove to confirm.

    Using games from the microsoft store

    Based on the results you've obtained, this can be an issue with the Windows Store which affects the digital games you’ve downloaded from it. We suggest manually resetting the Windows Store cache. Here are the steps:

    • Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
    • Type WSReset.exe and click OK.
    • The Store and a command prompt will now open with any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.
    Once done with the reset, kindly click this
    link     and follow the steps on how to check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store. Search if there are any updates available for the affected game.
