Windows 10: How do I integrate windows devices into a chromebook environment smoothly?

I am a new IT directory for a small school, and the majority of devices are chromebooks being managed with GSuite and GoGuardian for filtering and monitoring activity. This system works well enough.However, we now have 22 windows 10 laptops that are going to be used for a few classes. These laptops are currently Windows 10 Home, gaming laptops.I would like for students to be able to grab a device, use their gmail login and passwords, and sign into their windows device. While using it, I would like to be able to monitor their screens, filter which websites they can visit via whitelist, and rest

integrated development environment for windows 10

I see there is a new program called Visual Studio Code. Is this the best integrated development environment (IDE) to use on a windows 10 device? I want to start trying to write code, espeically at a lower level like in C. Will this program help me with
that? I have tried the generic starter program helloworld.c but do not seem to be able to figure out how to build/compile/run any of those steps. Or do I need to get a different open source IDE specifically for C? After C I want to move to other languages.

Can i use windows on a chromebook?

External drives are listed as USB hard drives.

@ paulyjustin Under Storage Devices, it lists USB hard drives and thumb drives. USB hard drives are external drives; I don't think internal hard drives tend to be USB. Here's a copy of what I found at File types and external devices that work on Chromebooks - Chromebook Help

Filesystems
You can access files on external devices connected to your Chromebook if they use the following types of filesystems:

• FAT (FAT16, FAT32, exFAT)
• HFS+ (read-only on journaled HFS+)
• ISO9660 (read-only)
• MTP
• NTFS
• UDF (read-only)

Storage devices

• USB hard drives and thumb drives
• USB CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives (read-only)

Remove a storage device safely by clicking Eject

Note that under file systems, your drive should be formatted as Fat 32 or NTFS; probably not something strictly Chrome if you want to continue using it with Windows. I'm pretty sure you don't want your stuff read only. From what I see, it doesn't look like a GPT/UEFI formatted drive will work with Chrome.
