Windows 10: How do I merge scanned documents into a single file?

I'm using Windows Fax & Scan and each page is its own file. Anyway to merge them all into the same file, so I'm not attaching 20 separate files to an email?

Which app or setting allows this on Windows 10?

I'v tried Windows Fax and Scan, and Scan. Both save each scan to a single file, automatically.

I'd like to scan a document all at once, and save it to a single file, in a location and with a name of my choosing.

How is this possible, please?

Scanned Documents will not post to file in Windows 10

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Open the properties of the main user profile folder where the files are located (such as Documents, Pictures, etc).
  
• Go to the Security tab and click Advanced.
• Check the box at the bottom of this window. It is labeled "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" and then click Ok.
  

This does a one-time action that replaces the security on all the files/subfolders. It’s one-time, so you won’t find that box checked if you peek at it later.

Next try to scan the documents and check if it shows the same error code.

How can I scan a multi page document into a single file in Windows 10 fax & scan?

I have a HP LaserJet 3020 with automatic scanner - I need to scan a multi-page document into a single file. The ADF feeds each successive page and the scan screen shows "scanning page 2," but when I look at the document, there is no second page. I have discovered
that it is in the scanned docs file as a separate doc. How can I get all pages into a single file?
