Windows 10: How do I prevent program installations from being blocked

    How do I prevent program installations from being blocked


    I had to reinstall Win 11 10.0.26100 and all apps went away.So, as I try to reinstall programs I get "Your organization used App Control for Business to block this app".There is no "Organization"...this is Win 11 Home....just me.I can't install most programs that I had MS Office 365 did install.I have it set so that I can install from anywhere. But, it doesn't.Suggestions/fixes?Thanks!James

    Prevent notification of blocked program

    I blocked it by doing the following:

    Local Security Policy -> Software Restriction Policies -> Additional Rules -> File path, disallow

    I don't see how running the program as admin would fix this particular issue, as this revolves around not wanting the program to be executed in the first place. And SFC isn't gonna do anything, considering this isn't an issue with corrupted files, this is
    something I have done on purpose to prevent the .exe from being in the way. I can remove it from the disallowed list, and it will run fine.

    Thank you for trying to help though, I appreciate it. Any additional input is welcome.

    Block ALL Programs Except Allowed Ones

    You can block programs using Windows Defender, for example (ignore the strange title): Please Wait... | Cloudflare E.g.

    How do I prevent program installations from being blocked

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
