    How do I reinstall these two Microsoft wifi direct virtual adapters back inside device...


    Can someone help me in trying to reinstall these Microsoft wifi direct virtual adapters back to operational use. I have heard and read that some of you had this same problem. Please give me some instruction on how to fix this problem.

    microsoft wifi direct virtual adapter

    My computer doesn't have the Microsoft wifi direct virtual adapter. Is there anything avaliable like a USB plug in that would serve the same purpose as the MIcrosoft wifi direct virtual adapter?

    In ipconfig/all, I see WiFi Direct Virtual Adapters #6 and #7

    I am not understanding...in the instructions at the link, the device manager has a Direct Virtual Adapter listed, whereas, my device manager does not list one...here is my device manager network adapter list.

    While, this is what I see when I put IPcofig/all into Command Prompt:

    I did not include in the photo, my personal IP and MAC addresses. Am I missing the virtual wifi direct network adapter in my laptop??

    Can not enable Microsoft Wifi Direct Virtual Adapter

    the goal is I want to activate Mobile hotspot that use this driver Microsoft Wifi Direct Virtual Adapter #4 in order to work. apparently only this adapter, the other virtual adapter didnt work to activate mobile hotspot.

    but the my Microsoft Wifi Direct Virtual Adapter is somewhat RANDOMLY enabled and disabled itself between Windows session!

    when the driver is disabled (greyed out) I can not enable it because there IS NOT enable driver option.. its magically gone! (so dont answer me to go to Device Manager > right click driver > enable.. its not there!)

    well, how to activate it PERMANENTLY?

    in properties status there's error:

    "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

    To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

    (well, i can not "reconnect" it because its inside the laptop, duh)

    windows already told me that I'm using latest driver for that driver.

    also, command netsh wlan start hostednetwork also did not work. cmd says cannot start hosted network.

    any help?
