Windows 10: How do I set all my created folders to have just the name detail and mass turn off all...

I have a desktop PC running windows 10 Version 22H2 and I am trying to figure out how I can permanently turn off all the detail tabs within all my created folders so all that shows at the top of each and every folder is just the file name. I am continuously manually turning off each tab after I update a file, add a file or create a new folder with content. I just want to be able to set each folder up with just the name & manually add type, Folder date or video length manually. Reverse of the current default setting is where I'm going with this. I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior.

• Create a new folder name it as 'My Videos'.
• Now copy/cut and paste the contents which are in the folder "Videos", and delete the folder "Videos".
• Now check the behavior.

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.

 

User Account Folder Name

Here's a workaround to rename the user account folder:

• Unlink your Microsoft Account from your Windows 10 device which will result for your account to be converted as a Local account.
• Create a new Local account, name it using your preferred account and folder name then set it as Administrator.
• Sign in to your Windows 10 device using the newly created local admin account.
• Link your Microsoft Account to the newly created local admin account.

After doing the steps above, check if this resolves your concern. If so, migrate all your files from the old account to the new user account and delete the previous one.
