Windows 10: How do I set the output audio as input audio?

I want to set the output audio as input audio, which means that the "microphone" or the audio input picks up exactly the same audio as what the pc itself outputs. On my Win10 computer I managed to do this by setting "Stereo Mix" as the input device instead of "Microphone". However, when I tried the same thing on my Win 11 computer, it does not work——the "mic" does not pick up any sound, neither from the computer itself which is intended nor from outside, even when I am playing some music on my pc. No audio input or output devices found

After the last update of Windows 10, no audio devices are listed

Searching in the device manager: all audio devices say it works fine

The sound setting says: no output or input devices were found.

After latest windows 10 update no audio devices are listed/

Looking in device manager - the audio devices all say working OK

But on bar at bottem of screen get speaker with red cross -- Playing audio - Audio trouble shouter cannot find any problems ..

Have tried to re-install Realtek audio drivers for motherboard -- installed but no change

 

Set audio port from audio input to audio output on Windows 10

On my mac I have one audio port. In System Preferences I can set this as audio output or audio input (for a microphone for example).

I need to connect a sound system (Creative desktop theatre DTT2200) to another laptop with windows 10 I have two audio ports (one for output one for input). For this I need at least two audio output ports. I need to change the audio input port to audio output so that I get two audio output.

I cannot find a Control Panel preference to set it.

What is the proper way to change this on the windows 10? Do I need an external software to do it?
