Have you already synced this My Book1140 with his Microsoft Account?

Suggest you to login to your Microsoft Account and check whether this My Book1140 is listed as a trusted device. If you have already added this as a trusted device in Microsoft Account then it will get automatically synced if you use the same Microsoft account
in some other devices.

 

Trust Own Device?

We appreciate the information that you have provided. It could be that your laptop is not designated to be a
trusted device. If a device is not designated to be a trusted device, Microsoft would ask for a security code to make sure that only you can get in your account when you view or edit sensitive info to your Microsoft account
- like credit card details. You may add your device as a trusted device
by following the steps below:

• On the device that you want to trust, go to the Security settings page and sign in to your Microsoft account.
• You'll be prompted to enter a security code. Choose whether to receive the code through email, text, or an authenticator app. Once you have the code, enter it in the box.
• Select the I sign in frequently on this device. Don't ask me for a code
  check box, and then select Submit.

You can now sign in and edit your info on that device whenever you want, without entering another security code.
