Windows 10: How do I stop my cursor from jumping around? I lose control of the mouse and sometimes it...

I have a laptop that had touch screen capability. I turned that off and this problem went away, but it has come back. Whether I use the mouse pad or a wireless mouse, even if I am not touching the mouse or the mouse pad, sometimes the cursor jumps and I must stop what I am doing to carefully inspect what data might just have gotten erased.

Jumping mouse cursor

Mouse cursor keeps jumping out of control. I've uninstalled it (there were 3 listed under the mouse device) and then updated the device driver. Didn't fix it. What do I do?

Cursor jumps

I did a factory reset on my computer and am using an entirely different, wired mouse and the cursor is STILL jumping to the top left.

Any suggestions what it could be? Or what to do now? Thank you.
