Windows 10: How do I switch my 32 bit Java to 64 bit Java?

I have checked my Windows version and I can support 64 bit. I only have 32 bit Java. I don't know how to switch it to 64 bit. I do not know the terminology as I am not very tech savvy. I do know Windows says I can support 64 bit. I downloaded Java tonight and it will not run in 64 bit. It is the 32 bit version. I am trying to play a game on Steam and a mod I recently downloaded uses Java 64 bit only. I hope this is enough information for someone to help me out. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I'll do a little more investigation later on.
For me I only use one version of Java on my PC.. the 64 bit.

I reinstalled Windows to try to fix an issue, but it did not help. I am installing my programs to an alternate drive, and would like to install Java there as well. I know about the JRE_HOME environment variable, but it can only point to 32 OR 64-bit Java. Is there any way to have both running simultaneously without need to switch the variable to the 64-bit path? I think that this does happen when I install to the default location, so how can I do that?

Yeah. 32 bit for browsers, but 64 bit has some things that keep features in other programs from functioning. But, yeah, I only use 64 bit Java for one thing
