Windows 10: How do I transfer photos from iPhone to PC?

"Yes. YES. I have found all 750 photos there and have also found a menu item to download the selected photos. I think I'm almost to where I want to be. Now can anyone tell me how to *select all*? "

Unfortunately there is no 'Select All' like in OneDrive or Dropbox. You can manually but quickly do this -

Choose the “All Photos” album. Scroll to the very bottom of the All Photos album and click the “Select Photos” button in the top of the iCloud Photos bar. Hold down the Shift key and click on the very last picture in the album, this should select every photo in the All Photos album as will be signified by the iCloud Photos bar saying "X number of items selected”.
Now with all of the photos selected in iCloud Photos, choose the blue “Download” button at the top of the iCloud Photos bar. Confirm that you want to download all of the selected photos and click on “Download”. A dialog window opens asking you to Download or Cancel. Since this is done through your browser, the pictures go to your default Save location, like 'Downloads'.
Note: if you delete the photos on the iPhone, they will disappear from the Photo app eventually. Of course, you should be doing this anyways but back up the copies on the PC so you have in 2 locations- your PC and and ext drive (or even OneDrive) like before- your iPhone and iCloud.

a SLOW way but should work is if both phone and PC have Bluetooth connection possibilities. Won't be fast but should work.

For transfering photo's from iPad to PC (or vice versa) I use the app Photo Manager Pro (not free). Maybe transfering 750 Photo's in one run might be a little to much, but transfer of several 100 in one run is certainly possible. Further the app allows alphabetic sorting, which I prefer above the sorting algorithm Apple uses.
